Altria Group Distribution Company is recalling a bronze-colored 3-in-1 flashlight that was distributed as a promotional item for Marlboro cigarettes. The flashlight is 4.5 inches long and 1 inch in diameter, features five LED lights, and includes a compartment for storing matches along with an end cap containing a compass. The product came with 20 wooden matches and a removable foam insert. Matches stored inside the flashlight can ignite when they contact the striker pad located on the inside of the compass cap, creating burn and injury hazards.
Consumers who have this recalled flashlight should immediately stop using the product and remove the matches for safe storage. The manufacturer will provide a free replacement item of equal or greater value. Consumers should contact Altria Group Distribution Company (AGDC) to request a replacement, as the company is contacting consumers directly about this recall.
