What happened

RMP Athletic Locker is recalling Ripzone Boys' Hooligan hoodie jackets due to drawstrings around the neck that pose a strangulation hazard to children. The drawstrings can become entangled or caught on playground equipment, handrails, school bus doors, or other moving objects, creating a risk of strangulation or entanglement. The recalled jackets are black with neon blue diagonal stripes across the shoulders and neon blue stripes around the bottom. They are made of 100% polyester waterproof material, feature a front zip closure with Velcro adjustable cuffs, and have two zippered front pockets. The jackets were sold in youth sizes small/petite (s/p) and medium (m). The label in the neck seam shows "RPZN" and the size, while the style number 78938 appears on the care label on the right front inside lower seam.

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the jacket to eliminate the hazard or return the garment to the place of purchase for a full refund.

This recall involves the Ripzone Boys' Hooligan hoodie jacket. The jackets are 100% polyester waterproof material and have a front zip closure with Velcro adjustable cuffs. There are two zippered pockets on the front of the jacket and a drawstring around the neck of the garment. The jacket is black with a neon blue stripe diagonal across each shoulder and two neon blue stripes around the bottom of the jacket. The jackets were sold in youth sizes small/petite (s/p) and medium (m). RPZN and the size can be found on the label sewn into the seam of the neck area of the garment. The style number 78938 is located on the care label of the jacket which is on the right front, inside lower seam of the jacket.
