What happened

IKEA is recalling children's wall-mounted lamps in numerous styles due to a strangulation hazard from electrical cords that hang from the lamps. The cords, which are approximately 7 to 8 feet long, can become entangled around a child's neck. According to the recall notice, consumers who own affected lamps should immediately stop using them and remove them from the wall, then contact IKEA for a free repair kit.
