Off-Road Motorcycles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Kawasaki is recalling model year 2014 KLX110 and KLX110L off-road motorcycles because the camshaft sprocket bolts can loosen and fall off, which causes the engine to lock up and stop the motorcycle. This creates a crash hazard for riders. The two models can be distinguished by their seat heights—KLX110 models have seats about 27 inches high with an automatic clutch, while KLX110L models have seats about 29 inches high with a manual clutch—and both have green fuel tanks with "Kawasaki" printed on the shrouds and model numbers on the side covers beneath the seat.
Consumers who own affected motorcycles should stop using them immediately and contact a Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free repair. The dealer will replace the camshaft bolts and the camshaft sprocket cover o-ring.
