What happened

HEICO Lighting is recalling neon sign power supply transformers because they do not meet UL safety standards and pose a fire risk. The recalled transformers are housed in black plastic boxes approximately 4.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide with vents on all sides. The affected models are PLATINUM-9000-30, PLATINUM-10000-30, PLATINUM-12000-30, TFT-04PL-6000-30, and TFT-06PL-9000-30, which are identified by a plate printed with "HEICO LIGHTING™" and model information.

If you have one of these recalled transformers, you should immediately stop using it and unplug it. Contact HEICO Lighting to schedule a free professional installation of a replacement transformer.
