Golf, service and utility vehicles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Columbia ParCar is recalling certain golf carts, service vehicles, and utility vehicles from model years 2008 through 2011. The recalled vehicles are 36- or 48-volt electric vehicles manufactured between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2011, including the Eagle, Shuttle, Tram, Summit, Utilitruck, and Scout models. The problem involves the lower steering yoke, which can loosen where it connects to the steering rack and pinion, potentially causing drivers to lose control and crash.
Consumers who own recalled vehicles can identify them by checking the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) against the specific ranges listed for each model and year. The VIN can be found on the passenger's side left kick panel, in the driver's side storage compartment, or on the steering wheel beneath the center cap. Affected consumers should contact their local ParCar dealer for a free inspection and repair.
