2021 ELECTRAMECCANICA SOLO G3
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Electra Meccanica is recalling certain 2021 Solo vehicles because of a potential electrical defect in the body control module software. If the rear turn signal wire harness experiences a short circuit, the functioning turn signal lights will continue to flash normally, which means the driver may not realize that the rear turn signal has failed. A non-functional rear turn signal increases the risk of a crash because other drivers cannot see the vehicle's turning intent.
To remedy this issue, Electra Meccanica will update the body control module software at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 22, 2022. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Electra Meccanica customer service at 1-888-457-SOLO and reference recall number 22SC01 to schedule the software update.

Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corp (ElectraMeccanica) is recalling certain 2021 Solo vehicles. In the event of a rear turn signal wire harness short-circuit, the flashing frequency of the unaffected turn signal lights would not change, failing to alert the driver that a turn signal has failed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
