Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain 2019-2022 Western Star and Freightliner trucks due to a defect in the fuel system. The fuel tubes connecting the fuel rail to the injectors for cylinders four, five, and six may crack over time, potentially causing a high pressure fuel leak that could ignite and create a fire hazard.
Owners of affected vehicles received notification letters on January 28, 2022. Dealers will replace the faulty fuel tubes and install vibration isolators at no cost to the owner. Owners should contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712 to arrange service for their vehicle, referencing recall number FL-915.
