Vermeer Manufacturing Company is recalling certain 2005-2021 McLaughlin and 2021 Vermeer vacuum excavators because their rear clearance lamps, reflex reflectors, and rear-side clearance lamps and reflex reflectors do not meet federal safety standards. Without proper reflective equipment, these vehicles may not be visible to other drivers, increasing the risk of crashes.
Owners who received a notification letter mailed on November 11, 2021, should contact Vermeer's customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060 to have dealers install a free field remedy kit. Vermeer's reference number for this recall is VMV0013.

The rear clearance lamps and reflex reflectors, and the rear-side clearance lamps and reflex reflectors are not sufficient.
