Pierce Manufacturing is recalling certain 2016-2018 Enforcer, Freightliner, and Saber vehicles equipped with ECCO Holdings Code 3 7x9 Stop-Tail-Turn Reverse All-in-One LED lights because the rear lights may be excessively bright. This excessive brightness can negatively affect the vision of other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. The affected vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108.
Pierce will notify owners of the recall, which was expected to begin April 26, 2021. Dealers will install a filter kit in the rear lights at no cost to the owner. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723.
