What happened

Land Rover is recalling certain 2018-2020 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, and Range Rover Velar vehicles because the Auto High Beam system does not show in the instrument cluster when high beams are automatically turned on. This means drivers may not realize their high beams are engaged, which can reduce visibility for oncoming traffic and increase crash risk. The vehicles do not meet federal safety standards for lighting equipment.

Land Rover will notify owners and dealers will update the vehicle's software at no charge. The recall began on April 7, 2021. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837 and reference recall number N556 to schedule the software update.
