What happened

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations is recalling certain Bridgestone and Firestone brand tires that may contain a pinhole in the outboard side, which can cause slow air leaks. The affected models include the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia P245/60R18, Dueler H/L Alenza 275/55R20, Ecopia H/L 422 Plus 235/55R20, Turanza EL440 235/60R18, and Firestone Destination LE3 225/65R17 tires with DOT code 2821. A pinhole leak can result in continued air loss that may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.

Bridgestone mailed owner notification letters on September 17, 2021, and will replace affected tires with a comparable Bridgestone or Firestone brand tire at no charge. Owners of affected tires should contact Bridgestone customer service at 1-800-847-3272 to arrange replacement.
