BRIDGESTONE V-STEEL HIGHWAY SERVICE; BRIDGESTONE V-STEEL SNOW WEDGE
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC is recalling certain V-Steel Snow Wedge tires (size 385/95R25) and V-Steel Highway Service tires (size 445/95R25) designed for mobile cranes. These tires are missing required sidewall markings, including the DOT symbol, tire identification number, maximum speed, maximum load, corresponding inflation pressure, and ply information. While the tires do contain some load index and speed rating markings, they are not displayed in the required format, causing the tires to fail to comply with federal safety standards.
The hazard is that operators may unknowingly exceed the maximum speed, load, and inflation pressure specifications, increasing the risk of a crash. Bridgestone will notify owners, and dealers will replace affected tires with comparable Bridgestone or other suitable replacement tires at no charge. The recall began July 28, 2020. Affected consumers should contact Bridgestone customer service at 1-800-847-3272.
