What happened

Halcore Group, Inc. is recalling certain 2020-2021 American Emergency Vehicle ambulances equipped with Weldon V-Mux Vista IV Standard LCD displays. The affected models include the Traumahawk Type I Ram 4500, Type I Ford F-450 and F-550, and Medium Duty Ambulance Freightliner M2. These displays can experience low voltage spikes that may cause the LCD screen to lock up or stop working. If the display malfunctions, it could delay emergency response efforts and increase the risk of injury.

Halcore will notify owners of affected vehicles, and authorized dealers will replace the defective Vista IV units with updated versions at no cost. The recall began on January 11, 2021. Affected consumers should contact Halcore customer service at 1-800-447-0343 and reference recall number 20E-078 to arrange for the replacement.

(Halcore) is recalling certain 2020-2021 American Emergency Vehicle Traumahawk Type I Ram 4500, 2020 American Emergency Vehicle Type I Ford F-450 and Ford F-550, and 2021 American Emergency Vehicle Medium Duty Ambulance Freightliner M2 vehicles, equipped with Weldon V-Mux Vista IV Standard LCD displays used for controlling emergency vehicle lighting and HVAC functions. These displays may experience low voltage spikes, and cause the LCD display to lock up or become nonfunctional, due to varying electrical installations.
