Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
BMW is recalling certain 2005-2012 motorcycles across multiple models (K1300, S1000 RR, R1200, HP2, K1200, and K1600) that were previously repaired under recall 13V-617 with a support ring remedy but did not have the fuel pump replaced afterward. The fuel pump flange in these motorcycles may crack, causing a fuel leak while the engine is running, which poses a fire risk if the leak occurs near an ignition source.
BMW will notify owners and replace the fuel pump(s) with an improved version at no cost through authorized dealers. The recall began on January 18, 2021. Owners of affected motorcycles should contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
