Newmar Corporation is recalling certain motorhomes from model years 2016-2020, including the Ventana LE, Ventana, London Aire, Essex, Dutch Star, Mountain Aire, New Aire, and Kountry Star. These vehicles previously received an inspection-only remedy from recall 19V-426 and may have a defective rear Power Distribution Module (PDM) that was damaged during manufacturing. When this component malfunctions, the rear marker lights, brake lights, or turn signals may not work properly, which increases the risk of a crash.
Newmar will notify affected owners of this recall, which began September 11, 2020. Owners should contact Newmar's customer service at 1-800-731-8300, and Daimler Trucks North America dealers will replace the PDM at no charge. The recall number is 20V-404.
