Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling certain 2019-2020 G550 4MATIC and G63 AMG 4MATIC vehicles because an electrical resistor in the differential locking module may malfunction. This malfunction can interrupt communication between the control unit and the differential locking actuator, which may cause the Electronic Stability Program and Anti-lock Brake System to deactivate while the vehicle is being driven. Either of these systems shutting down unexpectedly could increase the risk of a crash.
