FIRST LIGHT SAFETY STOP SIGN BACK PLATE

  • Brand FIRST LIGHT SAFETY

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

First Light Safety Products is recalling all Illuminated School Bus Stop Signs sold for IC CE, Thomas Built Bus Saf-T Liner C2, and Blue Bird Vision buses manufactured between April 1, 2020 and October 23, 2020. The back plate perimeter weather seal may allow contaminants to enter the sign, which can affect its performance or render it completely inoperable. In some cases, an electrical short can occur, further disabling the sign.

An inoperable or poorly performing sign reduces visibility for oncoming drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. First Light will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the back plate free of charge. The recall began December 9, 2020. Affected owners should contact First Light customer service at 1-866-216-2605.
