What happened

Diode Dynamics, LLC is recalling certain SL1 LED replacement headlamp bulbs (part numbers DD0215P, DD0216P, DD0217P, DD0218P, DD0219P, DD0323P, and DD0340P) because they exceed federal brightness standards for headlamp bulbs. These bulbs may produce excessive glare or brightness that affects oncoming drivers, which can increase the risk of vehicle crashes.

If you own affected bulbs, Diode will replace them with halogen headlamp bulbs at no charge. The recall began November 6, 2020. To arrange a replacement, owners should contact Diode customer service at 1-314-205-3033.

Diode will notify owners, and will replace all SL1 LED headlamp bulbs with halogen headlamp bulbs, free of charge. The recall began November 6, 2020. Owners may contact Diode customer service at 1-314-205-3033.

Diode Dynamics, LLC (Diode) is recalling certain SL1 LED replacement headlamp bulbs, part numbers DD0215P, DD0216P, DD0217P, DD0218P, DD0219P, DD0323P and DD0340P. These bulbs exceed the luminous flux standards for replaceable light sources, may cause excessive glare or brightness to oncoming drivers. As such, these bulbs fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
