2018 DYNAMAX ISATA

  • Brand DYNAMAX

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2018 Dynamax Isata vehicles built on a RAM chassis with a column shifter. The recalled vehicles have a defect in the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) system. If the brake pedal is held down for extended periods while the vehicle is running and parked, the BTSI pin may become stuck in the open position. When this occurs, the transmission can be shifted out of PARK without pushing the brake pedal or having the key in the ignition, creating a risk of unintended vehicle rollaway that could cause injury or a crash.

To address this issue, Forest River will notify owners and Chrysler dealers will update the vehicle software, inspect the BTSI, and replace it if necessary at no cost to the owner. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 or Forest River at 1-574-262-3474 to arrange service. Forest River's recall number is 55-0993. The recall began May 6, 2019.
