Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2019-2021 recreational vehicles equipped with Dometic 3-burner cooking stoves, including models such as Coachmen Chaparral, Shasta, Concord, Orion, Cross Trek, Freelancer, Leprechaun, Prism, Mirada, Pursuit, Sportscoach, and others. The saddle valve securing bolt on these stoves may have been overtightened at the factory, potentially damaging the o-ring seal and creating a continuous gas leak that could increase the risk of fire.
Forest River will notify owners of affected vehicles, and authorized dealers will install a remedy kit consisting of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two orange labels at no charge. Owners should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995 or Dometic customer service at 1-574-293-0681 to arrange installation of the remedy kit. The recall number is 51-1259.
