Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling certain 2018-2019 GLC63 AMG Coupe, GLC63S AMG Coupe, and GLC63 vehicles because the frontal passenger air bag may deploy with a delay during a crash, increasing the risk of injury to unbelted front seat passengers. This delay does not meet federal safety standards for occupant crash protection.
To address this issue, authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers will update the air bag control unit software parameters at no charge. Owners who believe their vehicle is affected should contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372 and reference recall number 2019020004.

MBUSA has notified owners, and dealers will update the air bag control unit software parameters, free of charge. The recall began March 1, 2019. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2019020004.
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC63 AMG Coupe, GLC63S AMG Coupe, and GLC63 vehicles. In the event of a crash, the frontal air bag may have a delayed deployment for certain unbelted front seat passengers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
