Thor Motor Coach is recalling various 2003-2018 recreational vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing them from discharging as expected, or they may require excessive force to activate. In certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that could cause injury and render the extinguisher inoperable. If a fire occurs and the extinguisher does not function properly, the risk of injury increases.
Thor will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a free replacement fire extinguisher. Affected consumers should contact Thor customer service at 1-877-500-1020, or Kidde customer service toll-free at 1-855-262-3540, or visit www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" for more information.
