Isuzu is recalling certain 2014-2016 Isuzu NPR and NPR HD vehicles, as well as 2016 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 3500 and 4500 vehicles with gasoline engines. These vehicles have a throttle pedal that may become stuck under a steel stopper bolt, causing the accelerator to remain in the full throttle position. A stuck accelerator pedal can result in very high vehicle speeds and make the vehicle difficult to stop, which could cause a crash, serious injury, or death.
Isuzu will notify owners of affected vehicles. Dealers will remove and replace the stopper bolt with a flanged plate at no cost to prevent lateral movement of the throttle. The recall began on November 14, 2016. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Isuzu customer service at 1-866-441-9638.
