Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2016-2017 Coachmen Galleria recreational vehicles manufactured between October 27, 2015, and August 31, 2016. These vehicles have an incorrect Federal placard on the Cargo Carrying Capacity label that lists only two seat-belted locations when the vehicles actually have up to five additional designated seating areas. This incorrect information means the cargo capacity listed on the placard is inaccurate, which could lead to the vehicle being overloaded and increase the risk of a crash.
Forest River will notify owners, and authorized dealers will adhere a corrected Federal Placard to affected vehicles at no charge. The recall began on November 18, 2016. Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Coachmen Galleria recreational vehicles, manufactured October 27, 2015, through August 31, 2016. The affected vehicles have an incorrect Cargo Carrying Capacity Federal placard indicating two seat-belted locations when the vehicle has up to five additional designated seating areas, causing the cargo capacity listed to be inaccurate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
