Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2016 Coachmen Galleria motorhomes manufactured between October 30, 2015, and February 15, 2016. The Federal Placards on these vehicles have multiple errors: they incorrectly show zero seatbelts, they fail to include the fresh water capacity in the vehicle weight calculation, and they are missing the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Without the correct GVWR listed on the label, operators may overload the vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash.
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a corrected Federal Placard at no charge. The recall began on March 3, 2016. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8628 and reference recall number 225-02102016-0134.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Coachmen Galleria motorhomes manufactured from October 30, 2015, through February 15, 2016. The Federal Placards on the affected vehicles incorrectly lists the number of seatbelts as zero. Additionally, the placards did not factor in the fresh water capacity in the vehicle weight calculation and the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is missing from the label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
