What happened

Morbark Inc. is recalling certain Beever M15R wood-chipper trailers from model years 2013-2016 and Beever M20R wood-chipper trailers from model years 2009-2016. The stop lights and tail lights on these vehicles may be positioned too high to be easily seen, which increases the risk of a crash and violates federal safety standards.

To remedy the issue, Morbark will notify owners and dealers will install a kit that repositions the lights at no charge. The recall began on November 4, 2016. Affected consumers should contact Morbark customer service at 1-517-866-2381.

Morbark Inc. (Morbark) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Beever M15R wood-chipper trailers manufactured February 6, 2013, to August 3, 2016, and Beever M20R wood-chipper trailers manufactured January 5, 2009, to August 3, 2016. The stop lights and tail lights on the affected vehicles may be located too high to be easily seen. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
