Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2011-2016 emergency vehicles (Inferno, Igniter, Intruder, and Cinder models) manufactured between October 3, 2011, and May 31, 2016, that are equipped with Class 1 Ultraview Touchscreens made by Hale Products. The touchscreens may experience false switch activations that can cause accessories like emergency beacons or automatic snow chains to turn on or off without the operator's knowledge, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Ferrara will notify owners of affected vehicles. To remedy the problem, service personnel or authorized service centers will reprogram the units at no charge. The recall began on August 26, 2016. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Ferrara customer service at 1-225-567-7100, extension 3011.
