  • Brand FOREST RIVER

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Forest River is recalling certain 2017 Spartan Toyhaulers, model STF3712X, manufactured between March 31, 2016 and June 17, 2016. The Federal Certification Label on these vehicles incorrectly indicates the vehicle has a third axle with two extra tires, when the vehicle actually has only two axles and four tires. This mislabeling could lead owners to overload the vehicle beyond its actual capacity, increasing the risk of a crash.

Forest River will notify owners of the recall, which began on July 27, 2016. Dealers will install corrected Federal Placards at no cost to owners. Affected consumers should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-862-3033 with their recall number 61-03032016-0211 to arrange installation of the corrected placard.
