2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
General Motors is recalling certain 2016 Chevrolet Malibu vehicles manufactured between March 7, 2016, and March 12, 2016. The electronic brake control module in these vehicles may fail, which could cause the loss of anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control. While the primary braking system would still work, losing these safety features increases the risk of a crash and violates federal safety standards.
To remedy this issue, GM will notify owners and dealers will install a replacement electronic brake control module at no charge. The recall began on June 17, 2016. Owners of potentially affected vehicles should contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (GM recall number 39440).
