2016 FORD FUSION
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Ford is recalling certain 2016 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured between March 10, 2016, and March 16, 2016, due to a defect in the front driver seat. The driver seat track assembly's rear riser may have been improperly welded to the seat track rail, which could prevent the driver from being adequately restrained during a crash and increase the risk of injury. These vehicles do not meet federal safety requirements for seat systems and seat belt anchorages.
Ford quarantined the affected vehicles at dealerships before they were sold to prevent the issue from reaching consumers. Dealers will replace the front driver seat track rail free of charge as part of the remedy. The recall began on May 19, 2016, and Ford's recall number is 16C05. Affected vehicle owners should contact their Ford dealer to have the repair performed.
