What happened

Terex South Dakota, Inc. is recalling certain 2015-2016 aerial devices and digger derrick lifts installed on trucks manufactured between August 4, 2015, and February 16, 2016, including models C5000, C6000, General 80, RMX, TM100, and TM125. The suspension air bags can inflate when the Master/PTO switch or ignition is turned off in the cab while the boom is raised, causing the frame to rise and lift the outriggers off the ground. This creates an instability hazard that increases the risk of injury to the operator.

To remedy this issue, Terex dealers will install a second outrigger enable relay at no cost to owners. The recall started on April 29, 2016. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Terex customer service at 1-800-982-8975 and reference recall number SN636 to arrange for the repair.
