What happened

Terex South Dakota is recalling certain aerial devices from model years 2009-2013 mounted on Ford Super Duty chassis with 6.8L engines and equipped with specific Muncie Power Products PTO Assemblies. These vehicles may experience oil leaks from the PTO pressure switch that could soak into the thermal blanket covering the exhaust system. When combined with exhaust heat, this oil-soaked blanket creates an increased risk of fire.

To remedy this issue, Terex dealers will install a new pressure switch kit that relocates the switch away from the exhaust system at no charge. Owners should contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000 and reference recall number SN611 to arrange for the free installation.
