2008 FORETRAVEL NIMBUS
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Foretravel is recalling certain 2008 Nimbus motorhomes manufactured between July 9, 2007, and March 25, 2008, that are equipped with Lippert-brand Coachstep Double Electric Steps. A bolt that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps may fracture, which could cause the fan gear to disengage and make the steps unstable and unable to remain in their proper position, creating a risk of injury when entering or exiting the vehicle.
Foretravel will notify owners, and dealers will install a retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism at no charge. Affected consumers should contact Foretravel customer service at 1-936-564-8367 or Lippert customer service at 1-574-537-8900.
