2014 MCLAREN P1; 2015 MCLAREN P1
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
McLaren Automotive is recalling certain 2014-2015 P1 hybrid vehicles built between March 1, 2013, and October 31, 2015. These vehicles have a secondary hood latch that may not properly re-engage, which means if the primary latch releases by accident, the hood could open while the car is driving. An open hood while driving increases the risk of a crash.
McLaren will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the faulty hood latch with a newly-designed one at no cost. The recall started on January 18, 2016. Affected consumers should contact McLaren customer service at 1-646-429-8916 to arrange service.
