Ferrari North America is recalling certain 2015 model year Ferrari vehicles including the 458 Italia, 458 Spider, 458 Speciale, 458 Speciale A, California T, FF, F12 Berlinetta, and LaFerrari manufactured between December 19, 2014, and April 29, 2015. The recalled vehicles may have a driver side air bag module that was improperly assembled, which could cause the air bag to deploy in a rotated orientation during a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the driver.
To address this issue, Ferrari dealers will replace the front driver's side air bag module at no cost. The recall began on August 10, 2015. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Ferrari customer service at 1-866-551-2828 (referencing recall number 57) to arrange for the replacement.
