Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Ford is recalling certain 2013-2015 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles, along with 2015 Ford Edge vehicles manufactured between specific dates, that were sold or are registered in certain northeastern and midwestern states plus the District of Columbia. In these vehicles, snow or water containing road salt or other contaminants may corrode the electric power steering gear motor attachment bolts, which could cause the steering gear motor to detach from the gear housing and result in loss of power steering assist. This loss of power steering would require greater steering effort, particularly at lower speeds, and could increase the risk of a crash.
Ford will notify owners and dealers will apply sealer and replace the steering gear motor bolts at no charge. If any of the attachment bolts are found to be broken or missing, a new steering gear will be installed instead. Owners should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to arrange service for their vehicle, referencing recall number 15S14.
