Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2016 trailers manufactured between March 1, 2015, and March 31, 2015, including models such as Amera-Lite ATTX and WATTX, Cherokee, Salem, Wildwood, Cargo Mate Blazer, Continental Cargo, Coachmen Catalina and Freedom Express, Palomino Puma, and US Cargo trailers. The studs that attach the wheels to the axle hubs on these trailers may break, which could cause the wheel to detach from the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Forest River will notify owners and replace any affected wheel hub at no charge through dealers. The recall began on June 16, 2015. Affected owners should contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-453-6064 and reference recall number 51-03312015-0025 to arrange a replacement.
