2015 FOREST RIVER XLR

  • Brand FOREST RIVER

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2015 XLR recreational vehicles and toy haulers (models XLF375AMP, XLF380AMP, XLF386X12HP, XLF395AMP, XLF415AMP, and XLF425AMP) because they have incorrect hitch assembly rating information on the Certification label. The label states a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 21,000 pounds, but the correct GVWR is 18,000 pounds. If a trailer is loaded based on the incorrect weight rating, the hitch assembly could become overloaded and fail, potentially causing loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.

Forest River will notify owners and send corrected Certification, Tire Information, and Cargo Carrying Capacity labels at no charge. Owners of affected trailers should contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-206-7600 and reference recall number 45-03022015.
