What happened

PACCAR Incorporated is recalling certain 2015 Kenworth K270 and K370 trucks manufactured between February 4, 2014 and October 10, 2014, and 2014-2015 Peterbilt 220 trucks manufactured between December 5, 2013 and October 10, 2014. These vehicles are equipped with certain Wabco Quick Release Valves with Double Check manufactured between February 6, 2013 and April 19, 2014 that may have a defective valve seat.

The defective valve seat can result in improper seating, which may cause the valves to improperly adjust air pressure levels and reduce braking performance, thereby increasing the risk of a crash. PACCAR will notify owners and dealers will replace the valves free of charge. The recall began on December 30, 2014. Affected consumers should contact PACCAR customer service at 1-425-468-7400.
