Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2015 Salem and Wildwood ice house fishing cabin trailers manufactured between September 22, 2014, and October 23, 2014. The affected models are the 8X16FK, 8X18RB, 8X20RD, 8X20RC, 8X20SV, 8X21RV, 8X22RDV, and 8X22RHV. These trailers may have frame spring hangers that are brittle and prone to fracturing.
A fractured spring hanger could cause the trailer to lose control, potentially resulting in a crash. Forest River dealers have quarantined affected trailers and will install a spring hanger reinforcement kit at no charge. Owners of affected trailers should contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-353-7383 and reference recall number 6-102914 to have the repair performed.
