What happened

DS Corp, doing business as Crossroads RV, is recalling certain 2015 Crossroads Zinger Z-1 and Cruiser trailers manufactured between March and September 2014. These trailers have incorrect GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) information on their Federal Certification Labels—overstated by 1,600 pounds for Zinger Z-1 models and 2,000 pounds for Cruiser models. This error also caused the Cargo Carrying Capacity on the Tire Placard label to be overstated. If a trailer is loaded based on these incorrect labels, it could become overloaded, potentially causing sudden tire, axle, or suspension failure that could lead to loss of control and a crash.

Crossroads will send affected owners corrected Federal Certification, Tire Placard, and CCC labels at no charge, along with installation instructions. The recall began in October 2014. Owners of affected trailers should contact Crossroads customer service at 1-855-226-7496 to obtain the corrected labels.
