Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain 2015 model year vehicles including Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, and M2 Business Class; Thomas Built Buses HDX; Western Star 4700; and various FCCC models manufactured between May 2, 2014, and July 31, 2014. These vehicles may be equipped with defective Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filters (part number FF63009) whose filter shell can separate from the fuel filter nut plate, causing the engine to stall unexpectedly and increasing the risk of a crash.
Cummins will notify owners on behalf of DTNA, and authorized dealers will replace the defective fuel filter with a non-defective one at no cost. Owners of affected vehicles should contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-745-8000 or Cummins customer service at 1-800-223-4583. The recall number for DTNA is FL-664. The recall began on September 29, 2014.

The Cummins ISB or ISL engines in these vehicles may have been equipped with Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filters, part number FF63009, whose filter shell may separate from the fuel filter nut plate causing the engine to stall without warning.
