What happened

Ford is recalling certain 2014 Ford Focus, 2014 Ford Escape, and 2015 Lincoln MKC vehicles because the Fuel Delivery Module (FDM) may crack between the filter body and the filter cap, causing a reduction in fuel pressure. This reduction in fuel pressure may cause the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash. The affected vehicles include 2014 Ford Focus models manufactured May 1–May 24, 2014; 2014 Ford Escape vehicles manufactured June 6, 2014; and 2015 Lincoln MKC vehicles manufactured June 4–July 7, 2014.

Ford will notify owners of the recall, which began in September 2014. Dealers will replace the FDM at no cost. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall number 14S20.
