2011 HYUNDAI SONATA
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Hyundai is recalling certain 2011 Sonata vehicles manufactured between December 11, 2009, and September 1, 2010, because the brake lines connecting the master cylinder to the hydraulic control unit may develop leaks due to insufficient sealing between the inner hose and metal fitting. If brake fluid leaks from these lines, the brake warning lamp will illuminate and the vehicle will require longer stopping distances, increasing crash risk.
Hyundai will notify owners and replace the brake hoses with a revised part at no charge through authorized dealers. The recall began in September 2014. Affected consumers should contact Hyundai customer service at 1-800-633-5151 and reference recall number 122 to schedule service.
