Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2014 Transit Connect vehicles manufactured between March 1, 2014, and May 15, 2014. These vehicles have a brake reservoir cap missing required text that indicates which type of brake fluid should be used. Without this label, someone may incorrectly add the wrong brake fluid to the brake system, which can damage seals and cause brake fluid leaks, resulting in longer stopping distances and an increased risk of crashes.
Ford has notified owners and dealers will replace the incorrect brake reservoir cap with the correct one at no charge. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Ford customer service at 1-800-392-3673 and reference recall number 14C06 to schedule an appointment with a dealer to have the cap replaced.
