Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
General Motors is recalling certain 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra vehicles equipped with both optional all-weather floor mats and optional vinyl flooring. The floor mats on these vehicles lack proper retention features and could shift to interfere with the accelerator pedal, preventing it from returning to idle and potentially causing unintended acceleration and crashes. The recall applies to Silverados manufactured between May 15, 2013, and January 29, 2014, and Sierra vehicles manufactured between September 19, 2013, and February 8, 2014.
GM will notify owners and reimburse them for the floor mat purchase price when they return the mats. Owners will also receive a free insert for their owner's manual instructing them not to use floor mats. Affected consumers should contact General Motors customer service at 1-800-222-1020 for Chevrolet vehicles or 1-800-462-8782 for GMC vehicles, and reference recall number 14310.
