What happened

Viking RV, LLC is recalling certain 2014 Viking Epic 1706LS and Coachmen Sport 806LS recreational trailers built between January 16, 2014, and May 28, 2014. These trailers have incorrect tire pressure information on their labels, showing 90PSI instead of the correct 60PSI. If owners fill the tires to the pressure shown on the current label, there is an increased risk of tire blowout, which could result in a crash.

Viking has mailed corrected labels to owners at no charge and began this recall on June 16, 2014. According to the record, owners should contact Viking customer service at 1-800-368-2829.

Viking RV, LLC (Viking) is recalling certain model year 2014 Viking Epic 1706LS and Coachmen Sport 806LS recreational trailers manufactured January 16, 2014, through May 28, 2014. The affected vehicles incorrectly list the recommended tire air pressure as 90PSI instead of 60PSI on the Federal Certification Tag and Tire Information Tag. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires for Vehicles Other Than Passenger Cars."
