What happened

Allwin Powersports Corp. is recalling certain LS2 model HH566 casing carbon helmets in sizes XS through XXL that were manufactured between January 2011 and January 2012. The helmets do not meet federal safety standards because they fail penetration tests in both ambient and high temperatures, meaning they may not adequately protect a rider's head in the event of a crash.

If you own one of the recalled helmets, you should contact Allwin customer service at 1-888-968-9888 or email LS2info@ls2helmets.us to arrange a free replacement. Allwin will notify owners and dealers have begun replacing the helmets with new ones at no charge.
