2013 FORD ESCAPE
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2013 Escape vehicles with 1.6L engines that were manufactured between October 5, 2011, and July 11, 2012, and were previously repaired under safety recall 12V-336. In some of these vehicles, the engine compartment fuel line may have been installed incorrectly during that prior repair, which could cause the line to chafe and eventually leak fuel. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire.
Ford will notify owners by mail, with an interim notice sent during January 2014. Dealers will inspect the engine compartment fuel line and replace it free of charge if necessary. The recall began on April 9, 2014. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 with recall number 13S12.
